Mr. Nicholas has extensive hands-on progressive experience in public health project management, data analysis for nutrition, family planning, maternal and child health project, as well as monitoring and evaluating multi sectoral humanitarian, transitional and development programmes with stable, conflict affected, and displaced populations and those affected by disasters in the arid and semi-arid lands.
Nicholas has completed a Masters’ Degree in Public Health from Kenyatta University and is waiting to graduate in December 2018. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health from Kenyatta University (2010). He also holds several certificates and diplomas in Project Management, District Health Information Software (DHIS), Training of Trainers
GIS in Monitoring and Evaluation, Statistical Computing (SPSS, STAT, and R), Certificate in Gender and Health at Global Health e-Learning, Behaviour Change Communication
and Microsoft Office Suite.
Nicholas has a great understanding of the Development Sector and Civil Society approaches to multi-sectoral programmes for multispectral donors in the following key areas: Reproductive Health, Nutrition, Primary Health Care, HIV and AIDS, Community Governance and Economic development, with expertise in mainstreaming gender, advocacy of key social issues, protection, conflict management and environmental protection.
Nicholas has huge experience in Public Health Project Management, Programme Design and Development, Strategy Development, Data quality assessments, indicator development, data collection and analysis for nutrition, family planning, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH), maternal and child health projects as well as monitoring and evaluating multi sectoral, humanitarian, transitional and development programmes in stable, conflict affected, displaced populations and those affected by disasters in the arid and semi-arid lands. He also has experience in creating and managing multi donor performance management plans (PMPs); designing and implementing performance and impact evaluations for development and emergency interventions. He has handled assignments funded by donors such as SAF-UK, UNICEF, DFID, USAID among others.
